i swear some people are straight morons...call him a coward??...when he has accomplished more than any poster here in the fight game or ever will...so what he didn't fight the best of the best...hes making more money making movies, something he is passonate about...hes also not getting any younger...he has made his choice...let him live the life he wants to live without making degrading comments that are unfounded...
i'm really sure cung give a rats ass about what keyboard warriors think of him as hes driving cars you can only dream about, making a salary that you'll never come close to seeing in your life...hes accomplished what he wanted to with fighting & movies... i think its disrespectful as hell to call him a coward...a true mma fan wouldn't...vacating the belt cuz hes busy with other things does not = coward...quit projecting something that simply isn't the case... cung le was a good fighter, not one of the greats, but good...give him the respect he deserves...

You called him a coward. Sure, you *sort of* took it back, but you were a fucking idiot to use that term to describe something and someone you don't understand, so when people call you on on that, you need to stfu and take your punishment. In the world of the internet age, that means a bunch of people are gonna call you an idiot and a noob, and a comment like that deserves it. No one's saying Cung Le is the greatest, so you can stop insinuating that we think that. We're just saying he's obviously a hell of a lot smarter than you are, and that he accomplished more in his MMA career than tons of other professional fighters. Is he as awesome as Anderson Silva? Fuck no. But he's done more than a lot of other guys who still fight in the UFC and DREAM, so giving him calling him a coward was flat out retarded. Seriously, go bother the Blue's Clues forums or something. Your writing ability is somewhere around a 3rd-grade level, maybe they'd be more accepting of your wild accusations over there.

Dude....weak...give it up. Nobody on here is on Cung Le's nuts, nobody is claiming he's the greatest ever or even top 10 WW for that matter. We are all just in agreement about how you're comment about him being a "coward" was lame. He's done nothing cowardly bro. He is 37 years old and doing something outside of MMA that he is passionate about and makes good money doing that also happens to involve martial arts. Period. There is nothing else to say. The fact that he left MMA and vacated his belt does not make him a coward. He has never claimed to be the champion of all champions or the greatest fighter. He got his belt fighting mostly no names or sub par competition, so what? I didn't know everyone that fought MMA had to fight until they were 50 and fight the best of the best time after time just to garner a little respect...

ok first of all i respect him, hes a fighter i know.
i don't consider my self a fighter, or a martial artist. i just train, i enjoy the sport. im a us airman and i do not consider my self brave but i will be the best airman i can. but let's not get into that, i never said i hated him or nor did i purposly disrespected him, i just stated a little opinion on how i feel with him vacating the title. he might not be a coward to you, and he might be a smarter person, make more money and he might be the coolest person in the entire universe, but i don't care he doesn't deserve all this praise from me, a champ is a champ and want's to continue being champ until they're defeated. i can understand old age, and if one's body is going to break down due to the constant punishment, but i don't think switching career fields in the middle of his prime is a great decision a champion should decide to do out of the blue. ok i never liked the way he faught but he won correct? so why would he disapoint all of you guys by switching in his prime? but let's not get into that either, let's just leave it as i stated an opinion and alot of people on this forum dislike,but reguardless it's my opinion.
