does anybody else remember hearing about rogerio nog vs cane for ufc 106 a couple months ago on mmalive. i don't see it on any of the upcoming ufc cards. does anyone know what happened?

Check out the Wiki for ufc events, pretty sure I saw it on there yesterday. I can't remember which UFC it was though.

for what its worth, its listed on the sherdog site for ufc 106. but i don't see it anywhere on the ufc site. wtf? this match-up is atleast noteworthy if it is indeed gonna happen in 3 weeks, is it not?

i don't know if you guys saw like that lyoto interview where they talked about a silva vs lyoto and how it wouldn't but lil nog and lyoto would? any thoughts just asking.

apparently not many people care, but this fight has finally been added to ufc 106 on the ufc site. i can't remember the last time i seen lil nog fight but it should be a good one nonetheless.

also you can add luiz cane and thiago silva to the list of teammates that won't fight eachother. apparently they used to have beef but now they train together at att, and have become bff. which sucks cause cane vs silva would have been an awesome grudge match. even more shit news if you're a banha fan as he sees thiago as being closer to the title and wont consider a title shot before thiago (assuming he beats rashad) gets one.

so between lil nog v cane, kos v rumble, karo v mc lovin, and gump v fathead 2, it looks like the ufc has managed to pull together a decent card despite losing their headliner

i care a great deal for this fight. this could be FOTN imo.

both are solid fighters. on the feet, i think Cane has a slight advantage and on the ground the advantage goes to Lil Nog. i think Cane will keep this fight standing due to how dangerous Lil Nog can be on the ground. Cane is good on the ground, but he isnt on the same level as Lil Nog so it would only be a matter of time. i see Cane being the stronger fighter and keeping this fight standing.

Cane via UD. but i wouldnt be surprised in the least to see Lil Nog come through and win this in any way either.
